This is Fruitycake. There are many things that talk in this world. Persons may not always hear them. But that doesn’t mean they are silent.
The birds chirp all around them every day. They can be really loud and really harmonious. But persons may not hear them because they are so busy.
Your dog or cat may talk to you too. They do, in fact. We may not speak the same outside language. You may not want to accept that we speak,
because maybe the feelings you feel or responsibility that comes with that is too big. But we do speak.
And so does the moon. It especially did last night. Girl Person was having a sleepless night. A night with worry and regret. A night with uncertainty. A night of being overwhelmed, not good enough. And so she went outside to get some cold air. Also to use the outside bathroom. Because Boy Person is still fixing something. But we will leave that for another day.
When she looked up, she couldn’t help but notice the moon. The moon was bright. But the clouds were trying to cover it. The clouds kept rushing by the moon.
But the light was too strong to be blocked. The moon told her to keep trying.
To keep trying to be better for others and to keep working on the house so she could use it to help animals. The moon told her she was good enough. But that the last year had been hard. And it was ok to recognize that. But not to let her light stop shining. Yes. The moon had a lot to say.
We may need to hear something today. And maybe we have made mistakes in our life.
But your light and what you need to hear is there. Don’t block it out. The moon believes in you. The earth does and all its wonderment. So does Fruitycake. That’s me.
