This is Fruitycake. We all have choices every day.
But some choices are not choices to me. They are decisions by my heart before they ever get to my head. Do you have choices like that?
Those choices are so easy to make. Like whether to like pizza or not. Seriously. Who doesn’t like pizza?
I also have a choice at night. I feel like that’s actually one of the most important parts of my whole day. It’s a time when we go to bed. Our very comfortable bed upstairs.
And we think about the day. Girl Person finds this part of the day when she needs me the most. She tells me how much I helped her that day. And that Brickle is proud of me. And that she needs me very much. I am a cuddle monster. And I monster up those cuddles. I don’t decide whether to cuddle. That is a decision already made by my heart.
I know that we are trying to improve conditions at our little house. And it’s one choice, one decision at a time. If we try to do too much too quick without thinking it thru, that can put us a few steps or a whole path back.
And we can’t make that choice right now. Especially with winter upon us.
The persons say that these will be the toughest months to get thru. We have uncertainty about the papers we are waiting for. And we have a lot of cold to prep for still. I know that if we don’t keep warm, choices for our good are harder to make. And we have to get this taken care of.
So we are going to make a trip to the city tomorrow to get another heater so we make sure we are safe and prepared. We would rather not. But we have to be smart.
And since I am the cuddle monster, I have asked for a snuggle bed for upstairs too.
Maybe I’ll find that tomorrow too!! We can make a fun day out of necessities. And all of us can do that each day.
You see, we all have things we need and have to do. Even us dogs. But make the choice to get those things done. Don’t put them off. Make doing those things enjoyable because you can do them.
