This is Fruitycake. You may wonder why I’m doing a blog on a Saturday. Well. I call the shots now around here.
And yesterday was not a good time for Girl Person. All of the monsters had come out. The Depression Monster. The Anxiety Monster. The Regret Monster. And the Mean Monster. They made her doubt everything. Including this blog.
There are times when persons need help. Especially from us dogs. And I made her leave the laundry in the bucket. I made her leave the clothes on the racks.
And we went to town. The persons thought that their goal was to get many needed supplies for heat. And we found most of those after getting lost and frustrated for hours.
But we also were able to keep our minds on things other than monsters. And we were able to work together.
Girl Person says this has been the most wonderful and most difficult time of her life. I can see that. I also know that Brickle isn’t here in person to push her thru.
This time is different. It’s hard in ways that many can’t understand.
But the reality is that we all have something to rebuild. Whether that’s a forgotten house in Itay that Brickle picked out.
Or a life. A relationship. A career. Or confidence. We all have something to rebuild.
In a world that’s full of monsters, sometimes you have to leave the suds in the bucket and the clothes hanging on the line. And remember that you can do hard things. You can. I know it.

We all have those days, Fruity. Some of us more than others, unfortunately. Please give the Persons ALL of your attention. We love them and many of us understand the need to March to a bit of a different drummer. Those of us who subscribe and support you and your Persons understand how the Persons must be feeling. They have taken on a huge project. But all of us wish them nothing but success in their endeavor in that Italy place. I personally think they are very brave and love following their adventures. I hope they can keep going and make that Italy place their very special home. We love you all
