This is Fruitycake. Better get that cake out of the oven.
Because it’s sweet and hot and done just right. You know, when your toothpick comes out clean and you know it’s ready.
It’s ready. The heat, that is! Boy Person worked nonstop for days getting supplies and working so hard to get heat ready for us.
It’s starting to get really, really cold. Us Florida place folks are not used to this. Not even a little bit!
We did have another cold night last night because the concrete stuff had to dry. But it was ok. We wore more clothes and snuggled in bed. I really like snuggling. I am a snuggly type of dog.
Girl Person said I’m the snuggliest ever. I take that as a compliment.
I don’t know though if Brickle would approve. But I can hear him now. “If you do it, I don’t have to put up with it.”
I see the persons working so hard to make sure we are safe and protected.
It’s been really hard work just to survive every day. I don’t mean to sound overdramatic.
But it has been hard for them.
There are many things they don’t tell or say because the bottom line is, we are grateful and we chose this path. All uphill.
But you know what?! We will have heat today. And that, my friends is very, very good news.
We couldn’t have done it without you. And not only will our paws be warm today, but our hearts are too.
