This is Fruitycake. To say we had an exciting day yesterday is putting it mildly. It was too exciting for my taste. My taste usually includes pizza and focaccia. Not a turbulent waterfall behind your house that turned into two waterfalls.
Too close for comfort. In my opinion.
When you live somewhere for awhile, you get used to the weather. What is normal and what is not normal. So when the rain started pouring down, we didn’t know if we should be worried or not. And when the water started coming in, we knew it was not normal. Not in the least bit.
But we know this house has been here for a long time. This probably isn’t the first time it has happened. Not every house could stand on top of this mountain for this long.
This house is special. And Brickle wanted us here for a reason. And even though this house is dramatic…it deserves the attention. it deserves its own soap opera.
But since we made it thru the day and night, which was pretty scary, I decided that I was done with the drama for today. Yes. We have a lot to clean up. But we also are very fortunate. And my taste wanted eggies this morning. With sunshiney. And a smile.
And that’s what I got. Then, I got to wash it down with a drink from one of my waterfalls.
Life is dangerous. No matter how we spend pie days. We can choose to be scared or we can live.
I choose eggies. And I also choose this adventure with my persons. We have so much to do and to figure out. But we have the support of our 2 Traveling Dogs family. And we have just begun.
When we started this year, I was hoping to finish the year with Brickle. But that didn’t happen. We didn’t get to fill up the calendar pictures with each month. So I chose my favorite part of the year. And of my life for our calendar this year.
Don’t regret not living your life. Don’t regret always playing it safe. A waterfall may be scary. But leaving here is a way scarier thought. Work thru your problems. Don’t throw in the towel. if there’s a mess, use your towel to clean it up.
If you want the eggies in life, order them.
And do it with a smile.
