This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Just a reminder, in case you forgot, I’m not a real raccoon. I just am cute like one.

It’s been very rainy in this Italy place the last few days. The path is very slippery. And yes, the persons have fallen a few times. It’s kind of like life lately. You keep going uphill. No matter the weather. No matter how you feel. Because when you start second guessing yourself, you can’t keep going.

I’m thinking that a lot of persons are feeling like they don’t have the strength to go on right now. I think of all the places that the big storms have went. And it’s hard to imagine. All we know, each one of us individually, is what we can do to help. I’m a dog. There’s not much i can do…except everything. That means giving all my love and strength to my persons and what they are going thru. They understand somewhat about not having electricity or running water or internet or cell service. But every situation is different. And everyone handles things different. It’s been a hard time for many lately. No matter where we live.

Our family and friends in that Florida place are having a storm come their way this week again.

And we are worried for them. Being worried for others takes a lot out of us too. No matter what we go thru. The earth may seem big sometimes. But it’s not. Each little act of kindness towards and animal or person does matter. Helping someone means that they will be able to help someone else. That can go on forever. Like Brickle and Digby’s work will go on forever.

Today, we have to get supplies. Food and water and some clothes. It’s raining. In fact, it’s pouring. And it’s just one day. But it’s a hard one for us. The path is slippery. And our bodies are tired. But someone always, always, has it worse. And we appreciate what we do have. Our family and friends. And a plate of spaghetti at the end of the day. Because Brickle would have loved that. He’s not here to enjoy it. And it’s my job to remember life is wonderful. Despite the challenges. We are here. I am here. And I love you.
