This is Fruitycake. I learn more about this Italy place everyday.
Learning is good. It may be hard for me sometimes to get up early for school. But I do it because it’s important that me and my persons learn Italian. To be honest, and I’m always honest like Brickle taught me, I like going to school.
We get up early most times and we have a long walk to the car usually. We are thankful to have a rental car because it has air conditioning and it’s very hot here still. There are also many, many tourist people here and taking a bus and a train is hard. I’ll be honest again. Most things every day here are hard. But. We like it.
Learning about ourselves is part of the fun too in all of this. You sure appreciate most things you’ve taken for granted.
Even language is sure something most persons take for granted. It’s very hard to communicate when you are a dog.
And I think my persons are getting a taste of that in addition to the pizza.
When you don’t speak the same language as someone else, it’s hard. It’s exhausting. It’s vital that you learn how to communicate with others. But sometimes you have to work very hard on that.
I never expected to go to school in Italy when I was a stray dog. I never expected to be here, helping my persons work on Brickle’s house. But I feel like we were meant to be here. It’s part of our story. It’s a difficult one for sure. It’s not the easy path for sure. But in life, sometimes you have to take a bite of pizza, get your strength up, and take on the day. And be grateful for the opportunities you have to be better.
