This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Once again, just a reminder that I am not a real raccoon. And here, in this Italy place, you can call me Torta Di Frutta.
This weekend, we all worked hard on our little house in that Italy place. Brickle even picked out his own spot.
And when Brickle picks out a spot, that is it. It sticks. Like a spot on a Dalmatian.
Even though things were difficult, things were fun. The traffic was funny. The getting lost was funny. Getting turned around by police so that we couldn’t even get to our own house was funny.
Girl Person getting too many groceries and not being able to carry them out of the store because she didn’t buy bags…funny. You get the drift.
What I didn’t expect, because it’s never happened before, is that the things that go wrong are funny to the persons. It’s all an experience!
It’s like they have decided after being here in this Italy place that things just don’t happen on their time schedule. And that’s ok. If they realize that. And by some miracle, or magic trick, they have. Maybe it’s the spaghetti.
So. Where do I put that? Where do I put the fact that Girl Person seems to be feeling better? Where do I put the fact that maybe this adventure will be our best one yet? I’m not used to the persons being positive like me.
What is interesting to me as a dog is that sometimes, persons feel guilty about being happy. Or they don’t know how to be. I know when something is good or fun, that’s what it is. I don’t second guess if I’m right. I don’t worry about being happy. I enjoy it.
And even though this house is a lot of work, it’s our house. And that’s something none of us have had for such a long time.
This week, we have a lot to do. And a lot to sort out. And a lot of thorns to pull. So hopefully, this positive attitude keeps up. Or maybe, just maybe, it will get even better.
