It’s true. We work for you. We work for animals.

It’s true. We work for you. We work for animals. We don’t want to change a thing.

We started this blog in 2011 when we were moving cross country with Brickle and Digby. We simply wanted to show people how to move with dogs. But that changed. Quickly.

When our Facebook page all of a sudden became popular and people were actually reading our daily blog, I knew we had to use our channels for good. Brickle and Digby were rescue dogs. Forgotten. Discarded. I knew they were put in our lives for a reason. And so we turned our pages and blog to making a difference. To show the world that when you rescue a dog or any animal and travel, you can not only change and save a life. But you can make your life better too.

We sold our home in 2015 when our page reached a million followers. We spent 7 years visiting animal shelters and rescues. We traveled to every state in the USA. Hopefully we showed that our two rescue dogs were deserving of the best life possible. And all dogs and animals are.

When Digby passed away in 2021, I considered stopping the blog. And social media. It was so hard. Harder than I can put into words. But I knew Brickle wanted me to continue. He still wants me to continue. And our new rescue Fruitycake, who came from a shelter with over 600 dogs, well, he wants us to continue too.

Although we are traveling in Europe currently, our dedication to the states and their rescues will not change. We also want to explore how others in the world handle the problem of pet homelessness. And what we may learn from each other. But we cannot do this without you.

We do not take on many sponsors. We simply don’t have time to devote to products. We think our job of entertaining you and helping animals is more important. But that does mean we rely on support from our audience.

Some people don’t get us. And that’s ok. We work for you. And we work for the animals. We make mistakes sometimes. We get behind on orders. But we will always do what we promise. We will always do our best. Always.

If you like what we do, the blog, and what we stand for, we appreciate your support. And you can do so here

More than anyone, 15 year old Brickle has worked harder than us for all of his years. He’s been the face of animal rescue. He’s taken countless pictures and videos. He’s visited whey shelter with us. He’s a very good boy. And if you’d like to contribute to his care you can do so here

Most of all, thank you for your comments on our page. Thank you for reading the blog every day since 2011. Thank you for being our family. We will be here as long as we can be and as long as you want us to be.
