This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Girl Person has always amused me. Her lack of coordination. Her forgetfulness. Her inability to talk to people yet she has no problem talking to dogs.

And there is no other way to say this but to say this. She should probably not talk to people. She should probably read signs a bit closer. She should not tell persons there is an imaginary monster that is lurking on the short trails.

Let me explain. I’ll do the talking. It’s better that way.

We are near the water. We are in that Florida place. There are many creatures here that persons think are scary that are just in actuality minding their own business.

So when some persons asked Girl Person if she had seen the alligator on all the signs, she acted all knowledgeable. After all, the sign didn’t say to beware of alligators. It said to beware of crocodilians. And in her mind, she thought she knew what that was. Oh. Obviously it was a cross between an alligator and a crocodile. Obviously.

The persons were shocked. They said that they were from that Minnesota place. They said they didn’t know about all the monsters in the Florida place. And they asked if they should be worried on the trails. Girl Person said, well, the trails are short, so you won’t have to worry long either way. And off they went. To be scared.

When Girl Person told Boy Person about this exchange, he started laughing. She had told these persons to be afraid of a crocodilian? There was no one “crocodilian”. This just meant to beware of both alligators and crocodiles in the park.

Not an imaginary monster of her mind roaming the short trails.

Now there are two persons from that Minnesota place who is searching for a Crocodilian Monster in this Florida place. And I wondered. How much information and news do persons listen to that is not the truth?

Think before you speak. And if you don’t know, don’t say it. And find out the truth.

I know that there are many monsters to be afraid of. Most of all, persons. The animals that they are afraid of are just trying to live.

And I can guarantee that there may be a legend of a Girl Person Monster with them now…

The first dog showcased by the Live Like Digby Adoption Fund is going to steal your heart! Zeus is an 8 year old Terrier Mix. He came to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay as an owner surrender because they were having a baby and didn’t feel like they could continue to give him the attention that he deserved.

He does not really like other animals so we do not recommend a home with other pets. Other than that, he is pretty aloof and stoic…just needs the perfect home.
