Hello, persons! My name is Bulleit, and before you ask, yes, I do sound like someone who should be starring in an action movie. Unfortunately, my current starring role is Handsome Dog Waiting For Someone To Notice Him. I am approximately four and a half years old, a Border Collie/Shepherd mix, and I have a very impressive blue bandana. My ears have their own personalities, my face is extremely photogenic, and I have been waiting at East Alabama Humane Society since February 19, 2026. That is a lot of mornings to wake up wondering whether today might be the day someone comes for me. I have been practicing my handsome face for months now, and frankly, I believe my performance deserves an award. Preferably one that comes with a family.
I don’t need a mansion, a fancy dog bed or my own television show, although I am willing to discuss all three. I just want a chance to find out what belonging to someone feels like. My shelter listing tells you my age, my breed and my identification number, 50233068, but it cannot tell you about all the memories we haven’t made yet. Maybe you are the person who will help me make them. And if you cannot adopt me, please share my story. Somewhere out there is a person who hasn’t met their best friend yet. I have a feeling that person might be looking for me. I hope they hurry. I have an entire lifetime of love to get started on.

About This Is…Me — A 2 Traveling Dogs Rescue Project
Every rescue animal has a story worth telling. This Is…Me is a project created by 2 Traveling Dogs to help real shelter animals be seen, believed and rescued. With so many fake rescue stories and misleading posts circulating online, we want to bring attention back to real animals waiting in real shelters. We verify shelter information and give each animal a voice through a personal story that helps people see more than just a photograph or identification number. Our goal is to feature rescue animals from all 50 states and eventually bring these stories directly into shelters through QR-code kennel cards and other storytelling projects.
Shelters, rescues and animal lovers can all participate! If you work or volunteer at a shelter, please send us an adoptable animal’s name, photographs, adoption link, location and any personality details that make that animal special. You do not have to work at a shelter to nominate a dog! Anyone can submit an animal they would love to see featured. Simply email rachael@2travelingdogs.com with the animal’s information and a link to its official shelter or rescue listing. We will review the information and contact the organization when additional verification is needed.
