Settling Not Settling

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I’ve moved so many times. I moved from our yellow house in that Florida place to that California place.

I moved back to that Florida place from that California place.

And I moved to a little house on the water for a few months and we moved into the Big Blue Treat Wagon RV.

Then I moved from the Big Blue Treat Wagon RV to the Big Barking Biscuit Buggy RV.

Now we have moved out of the Big Barking Biscuit Buggy RV and into…nowhere in particular.

We will be moving around until August when we get on the boat from that New York place to that Italy place.

We are living out of suitcases. And yet, we don’t feel like we are settling.

We feel at peace with this move and this transition. Even though it feels strange. Change is strange sometimes. You may want it. But when it happens, you are excited and scared at the same time.

We’ve needed this change for awhile now. But we were afraid of making a wrong decision. But what the persons know now is that no decision is a wrong decision too.

It feels unsettling to not have wheels under my paws.

But because of decisions, we still can move ahead. And that’s the important thing. I can concentrate on getting this lump monster out of my mouth.

And have more time for the important things in our lives. Like each other. Settling into a new life may be the hardest decision you’ll make. But don’t settle for anything less than what you need to do.
