The River Rat

This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Just a reminder that I’m not a real raccoon. I just like trash. And also, this week, you can call me Fruitycake The Rat. The River Rat. Cause let me tell you, I’m living the life.

This cabin in the woods may not be fancy schmancy to persons.

But to dogs, this is the deal. This is the cream of the crop.

This is fun in a wooden and dirty package. And a river runs thru it too.

Seriously. I thought I loved the ocean. And I sure do.

But I’m also starting to appreciate the wonderful, relaxing nature of the river. The way that it flows as slow or as fast as it wants. The way the breeze makes the trees move and the light of the sun on the water. I could go on and on. Just call me the River Rat.

I find it so interesting how I learn to love new things and new places and new persons and new individuals.

And even though Brickle may be older than me, he says with age, he also finds a new love of something he may have overlooked before.

Persons say to love the one you’re with.

And I agree. But you also have to love the place you’re at. Right now. If you don’t love where you are, even if you want to go somewhere else like my persons, you shouldn’t have that privilege. Because not seeing the beauty in every place is disrespectful.

And since I’m the River Rat this week, I deem this place beautiful. Unique. Restful. And wonderful for a River Rat like me.

River Rats know that the earth would not survive without rivers.

You see, there is a reason for everyone and everything. To appreciate what is next in your life, see where you are now. Go with the flow of the river.
