How Much Is Too Much?

This is Fruitycake The Raccoon. Just a reminder that I’m not a real raccoon. I just like a lot of trash.

Yesterday, Girl Person said that I was a bit much. She said that I had ants in my pants. She said that I was very energetic. She said that I needed to simmer down.

The only thing that I know how to simmer down is tomato sauce. Not my energy level.

What is wrong with a lot of energy, I wondered. She said she was trying to finish work. She said she was trying to talk on the phone. She said she was trying to do papers for that Italy place. And I wondered. Why did she care about my energy if she had so much to do.

I don’t work in a library. But if I did, I wouldn’t tell everyone to be quiet. If you’re trying to read or find a book, maybe you need someone to tell you where it is. And maybe I was telling her to put down work and have fun.

Why do persons think that they need to tell everyone what to do? That’s a dog’s job.

Sometimes persons have a hard time letting others be themselves. They don’t take the time to learn from others instead, they like telling others how to live. Differences may be loud between us. But they are necessary. They make life fun. They turn a boring day like Girl Person was having into an interesting one. What are you missing by judging others? A reason to smile. To laugh. To enjoy their company the way that they are.

No one is ever “too much”. Life is good. Loud. Fun. And irritating sometimes. But if we are lucky enough to be here, together, take in the commotion. And the differences. And the life. Oh, life. It’s good.
