This is Peanut Butter Brickle. For many years, I’ve posed for pictures.
In fact, I’m so good at it that most of the time, I tell the persons where the best picture is. And I’m the best at it.
But Fruitycake is still learning. Oh, he is still learning a lot.
And I have to admit, I am starting to embrace his way of modeling. If the persons can’t snap that picture fast enough, I’m not waiting. I have things to see and things to do.
Each and every step is important to me lately. More than ever.
So when we went to that Highlands, North Carolina place, I was into the groove. I loved it there!
There was so much to see at the shops. And things to look at. Each and every step had a new adventure for the senses. And I could not be bothered with pictures.
There is a time in life to take in all you can. And I feel like that’s my time now.
But every place is different. Some beg to be savored like the waterfalls.
Some places inspire you to keep moving. Like cities for me. I know the persons prefer to be in nature and I do too.
But I also think there is a place to mingle and to see what others are doing. People watching. It’s what I do. And I’m super good at that. I’m good at everything, though.
When every step is important, life can change. Every decision we make is important as to how we spend our time and with who. It’s not that time is more valuable as we age. It’s just that we recognize its value. The clock starts ticking when we take our first breath. But we don’t know that.
We only know how to live. And it’s what we all should do, no matter what our age is.
The important thing about each and every step in our lives is that we go somewhere. Whether it’s learning about ourselves, or someone else, always keep moving.
