This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Do you consider yourself a caring individual?  I asked myself this question after Girl Person came home from the grocery store the other day.  I wondered if I truly saw myself for real.

Many of us say that we care about certain persons or animals.  Many of us say we are about certain problems or causes.  But do we? What do our actions say?

We are in that Tennessee place, and it is cooler and more comfortable to me.  The persons drove us up here so that I wouldn’t be so hot this summer. We are moving around a lot, trying to find what they think I like.  And I would say that is caring. They care about me and they show it by their actions.  But first, actions have to have thoughts to put them into motion.  And they do have choices on where we can go or not go in our house on wheels.  But they care about me enough to choose me.  What do you choose?

Let me get back to the grocery store experience that Girl Person had.  You know, I kind of got off track.

She was in the store and she saw a woman very upset, so she asked her what was wrong.  Seems as though the grocery store had a problem with birds getting in the store and going up to the high ceilings and not being able to find a way out.

This woman person was saying a prayer for the bird, she was trying to figure out how to help it. and she was talking about it.  She cared.  She. Just. Cared.  The there were hundreds of others persons in the store, she was the only one that had stopped and looked. She was the only one that had thought about the bird. She was the only one that cared.

And did she let the fact that no one else cared stop HER from caring? No.  It may have been just a bird to everyone else. They may not have heard its singing.  But just because no one else heard it, this woman did. Do we know if the bird was really in danger? No. Do we know if the bird could get out? Maybe. But that’s not the point in this. Allow we continue  Because it made Girl Person think and it made me think when she told me.

We can say that we care, but if we don’t even change what we are doing and put our caring into actions, how is it helping anyone?

If no one else knows what you care about, how is that going to inspire others?  If you believe in who and what you care about, do something.

Just. Care.  And then just. Do.
