Under A Cherry Blossom Tree

This is Digby Pancake. In this Georgia place, spring has arrived.

The birds are out, the grass is growing and the trees are waking up from their sleep.

Even the groundhog that lives here at our friends’ house has come out to play.

Even though we are busy packing up to leave in April, and have so much to do, sometimes the world has different plans for you. Sometimes, something is so pure and beautiful that you can’t help but to stop and admire it.

The cherry blossom trees are everywhere in abundance here! They are blooming and happy and joyful.

They are splashing the landscape with their awesomeness.

I don’t know how else to say it. But you won’t find cherry syrup for your pancakes. Nope. Or cherry soda. Nope.

Getting caught up in life and our own expectations of what is important and what needs do get done is easy. We can get down. We can get overwhelmed. And when that happens? Try sitting under a cherry blossom tree.

Because there you can’t be anything but present. Your to do list seems to go away…at least for a little while.

Your problems seem to fly up to the blooms in the sky to park there awhile. A cherry blossom tree does that for you.

And so do many other things in our world when we open our eyes to see them.

When we acknowledge the beauty that happens automatically in our world, we have to wonder what our place is.

Where are we supposed to be on this day? What’s your purpose as the world goes round?

Sit under a cherry blossom tree and you may find out.
