You Can’t Catch Up

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. It seems like my job never ends. Watching everyone and everything and making sure they are doing whatever it is they are doing to my liking is exhausting.

Do you feel like your days run together? Do you feel like you will never get caught up? You won’t. And it’s not a bad thing.

Most of us move and move and move all the time. We shuffle papers.

We shuffle our feet.

We revisit old problems.

We dwell in the past. Our work never seems to end. And then the next day starts and we think we may have time to catch up. But then something else happens. And it just adds to the list.

But instead of being hard on yourself, think about what I learned from that Jekyll Island, Georgia place last week. We were so relaxed there.

We were having so much fun with the sea turtles.

The persons got behind on their work. And they said that this week they would catch up.

But now there is other stuff to do. And so instead of catching up, let’s be grateful we are around to see another day. Instead of catching up, just live. Do what you can. Enjoy all you can. Stop comparing yourself to others.

You can’t catch up. But you can live it up. See what is in front of you. Just keeping going. Things just have a way of working out.
