Fruitycake’s Monday Affirmation
“Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers in it.”
This is Fruitycake. A new week is a new chance to be better. Simple as that. If we start off the week with an intention to follow a plan, we sure do have a better chance at achieving that! And for me, it is about slowing down a bit this week.

I’m used to Girl Person and her slow way of walking because she hasn’t felt good for a very long time. But when Boy Person took over, I walked faster. I run. And I am aware that I’m noticing much less. A person once said “”Many eyes go through the meadow, but few see the flowers in it.”

So this week’s affirmation is for me and you! Ready?
No matter how fast others go, I will not run thru my days. Life isn’t a race or a destination. It’s a beautiful combination of minutes and hours and days. And this day will be for noticing the flowers. If I only notice the flowers, I will have accomplished more than most. What a sweet smell it is to slow down.
Have a great start to your week, family!

As many of you know, Girl Person has been away dealing with health challenges. We miss her very much, and she has another important doctor appointment on Monday. We would be grateful for your prayers, positive thoughts, and good wishes as we continue hoping for answers and healing.
Many of you have asked how you can help. During Girl Person’s prolonged absence, necessities for Boy Person and me have become very low. Your donation today helps provide food, daily necessities, and support while Girl Person continues her medical journey. No gift is too small, and every act of kindness means more than you know.
