THIS IS…ME

My name is Purple. And before you ask, yes, I think Purple is an excellent name. It is memorable. It is confident. It sounds like the name of someone who knows exactly where you hid the tennis ball! For starters, I am smart. Really smart. I already know some basic commands, but I would love a person who looks at me and sees everything I could still learn. I do not want to spend my life being bored. Give me something to figure out. Teach me something. Take me somewhere. Let me use this very impressive brain of mine for important activities. Actually, according to the persons who know me, tennis balls may be one of the greatest inventions in human history. I can chase them for what they describe as “forever.” I personally think forever is a perfectly reasonable amount of time. But what I really need cannot be measured in tennis balls, walks or training sessions. I need you.

WHY THIS IS…ME EXISTS

Purple is a real dog waiting for a real home.

That should be a simple thing to say. But the internet has changed. Every day, people scroll past rescue stories, photographs and urgent pleas without always knowing what is real, what is current or where the information originally came from.

That is why 2 Traveling Dogs created This Is…Me.

We want real rescue dogs to be seen, believed and rescued.

We find dogs through legitimate shelters and rescue organizations, verify their original listings and tell their stories in a way that puts the individual dog back at the center of the post.

2 Traveling Dogs is not the shelter or rescue handling these adoptions. We are using the audience we have spent years building to help real shelter and rescue dogs reach more people.

Purple has been verified real by 2 Traveling Dogs through her official Austin Pets Alive! adoption listing.

Please do not assume someone else will share her.

Someone else will notice her.

Someone else will help her.

You can be that someone.

SPONSOR A THIS IS…ME DOG

You can help us tell the next story.

Sponsor a This Is…Me dog here:

http://www.paypal.com/ncp/payment/Q56YEJJTKXY96

Your sponsorship helps 2 Traveling Dogs continue finding, verifying, writing about and sharing real shelter and rescue dogs. You can choose a state, and we will find a real dog from a legitimate shelter or rescue who needs more visibility.

Your sponsored feature will be recognized as:

Made possible by [your name].

One sponsorship means another dog gets a story.

Another shelter gets attention.

Another adoption link gets shared.

And another real dog gets the opportunity to reach the person who has been looking for them without even knowing their name yet.

Today, that name is Purple.

She is real.

She is waiting.

And somewhere out there may be a person with a tennis ball and an empty place beside them.

This Is…Me.

Seen. Believed. Rescued.
