North Carolina Dehydrated Barkin Bacon For Dogs

North Carolina is famous for its pork barbecue and bacon.
Although bacon can never be considered “healthy” for your dog, as a treat, leaving out the frying part and dehydrating it, this can be an occasional indulgence for your dog! It may be our easiest recipe ever, but your dog will think it is probably the most delicious!

Ingredients:
Lean, pork bacon (trim excess fat)
Directions:
Set your dehydrator at 165 degrees. Lay single strips of bacon flat on trays. Dehydrate for 6-12 hours depending on the thickness of the meat and your individual dehydrator. Blot with paper towels to remove excess fat. Store, wrapped in paper towels in an airtight container in your fridge for 3-4 days.
