Maryland is definitely known for crab cakes. But did you know that crab contains high amounts of iodine and some dogs may be allergic to that? Get the taste of a crab cake in this person friendly version too! To make this recipe “person friendly” add old-bay seasoning. But leave out all salt for your dog.
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups grated zucchini
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup panko bread crumbs (unseasoned)
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Cheese to top cakes
Preheat oven to 400 degrees and spray a baking pan with non-stick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine zucchini, egg, and olive oil. Stir in bread crumbs. Mix well.
Shape mixture into patties. Dredge in flour and top with cheddar cheese.
Place in baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, depending on oven. Let cool completely before serving to your dog.
