AnimalLuvrs Dream Rescue is simply our favorite rescue near our hometown of Tampa, Florida.
According to their website, AnimalLuvr’s Dream Rescue has a mission to rescue and care for dogs and cats that are critically ill and/or injured. Many of these animals are strays, abandoned, abused, or neglected. These animals would otherwise be euthanized due to lack of owners, funding or space. We are dedicated in providing the medical care, basic needs, socialization and training needed to place them into responsible and caring permanent homes. We also place a great deal of emphasis on educating the public about the pet overpopulation crisis, the importance of spaying/neutering and responsible pet ownership.
When we fostered a dog through this rescue, we knew immediately that they were diligent in finding their animals homes. Why? With a network of volunteers, finding a foster animal a home is crucial to save more. Their network of volunteers and fosters who go to adoption events know that each one of them makes a difference. Sometimes, a potential adopter may see an animal on Facebook, or at an adoption event, an expo or other means. They use every means possible to reach as many adopters as they can.
What makes AnimalsLuvrs Dream Rescue so special to us is their founder, Cecilia Nieves. Day and night, she can be found working for her animals. Holding down another job and taking care of a family, while running a rescue may seem impossible to some. Not to Cecilia. She has known that she would help animals since she was a little girl, and her dedication and love shows through in everything she does. She takes animals that other rescues or organizations would turn away due to special needs. She embraces the challenge that some animals present. Those with not only physical problems but behavioral issues are ones that AnimalLuvrs love to help.
But this small rescue can only save more animals with more foster homes.
