This Is My Day…Every Day

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. Today is a new day. You’ve never lived this day. I have never lived this day. And yet, we are here together.

I may be in that England place. Maybe you’re somewhere else. Maybe my day is starting earlier than yours. Or later. But it’s a day. It’s our day. This is my day. This is your day. Every day.

Days. They start early here. They end late here. Just like I like them.

The days are long. Like my life has been. But a day and a life are never long enough, are they?

We never get it all done. We never see it all. We never do it all. No matter how hard we try.

I had a slow day yesterday. I got to rest. I got to watch. I got to sleep. The persons have been letting me set my own schedule. And I like that. There are days I want to do. There are days I want to do nothing. And that’s ok.

When you get older like me, whether you are a person or a dog, you see time different. You don’t see it as something to be filled. You see it as a prize. A present. A gift. Just having it means something. It doesn’t matter so much what is inside.

I am loving this England place. I’ve loved it so much. The smells and the sights are unlike anywhere I’ve been. I’ve changed here. I wanted to get here with my family. And I did it. And I’m doing it.

This is my day…every day. This is your day too.

Live your life on your terms today. See what you want to see. Or rest. Take it all in or order in. It’s your day. You don’t need a clock to tell you time goes on without us. So be included today.
