When You Don’t Know What You’re Doing, Someone Else Does

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. If there’s one thing I’ve learned about persons, it’s that they love to talk. They will talk about themselves. They will talk about other persons.

Now. I understand the value of talking about yourself. We all need to love ourselves. I love myself a lot. Always have. Always will.

But talking about other persons? If you’re saying nice things about them, keep talking.

But if you’re saying unkind things or negative things, ask yourself why you feel the need to do that. After all, there is always a reason and a motive behind all we do. Every decision we make affects someone. Even if that someone ultimately is our self.

Walking thru a small town in this Florida place, where everyone knows everyone is like many small towns we have visited.

All of them have their own rhythm. Their own stories. Their own persons.

And although I haven’t walked these streets before, someone else has. I may pass them on the street. I may nod hello. And that’s all. But do they judge me as an old dog? Yes. That’s what I look like to them.

What am I judging them based on? I don’t know them. So I try not to judge. At all. Every energy and every thought affects us and others. In a bad way or a good way. There is no neutral thought. There is no neutral action.

And I know this more than ever now when I’m being judged just on my appearance by some who don’t know me.

We are all struggling. In our own way. Someone may appear happy. But they are sad.

Someone may appear sad but maybe they are tired. Someone may appear like a dog. But nope. It’s me. I’m. Brickle. What dog?

When you don’t know what you’re doing, someone else does. At least they think they do.

But whether you’re in a small town or a big city, remember we are all on the same planet. We don’t need to hurt each other by talking about each other in a negative way. When you talk, ask questions. Listen. Learn. And treat others with kindness whether they can hear you or not.
