“Do You Really Want That?”, The Snake Said

This is Fruitycake. Yesterday, as we were walking home along our path, we were greeted by a fellow. A slippery kind of greeting. A harsh greeting. A greeting only a person called a snake would give you. An unmistakable and unwelcome greeting in Girl Person’s head.

Yes, you wouldn’t expect that. And I can only say that the wild pig in the bushes was again startled by Girl Person’s screams. No apology was given to anyone that day.

If that would have been the only downfall of the day, great. Snakes fall on people’s heads every day, I suppose.

But no, that wasn’t it. Because in the course of the day, Boy Person had something fall into his eye and its swollen. Boy Person hurt his back. By pouring espresso. Now, ask me how that happens. Or maybe ask the snake.

Because later on in the day, Girl Person received a message that made her stomach fall. Apparently, they missed an appointment that they didn’t even know that had for their papers here. And it wasn’t good. It’s a mess, they are still figuring it out, but I had to wonder, was the snake asking us at the beginning of the day, “do you really want that?”. Is this all worth it to us? Do we want a way out? And the answer is no. We love it here. We love Brickle’s home. And it was just a reminder that we do.

Because as much as we complain sometimes, this is worth working for. This is worth it all. And we were meant to be here. To help wildlife and provide education. To help rescues and shelters all over the world. And to make this our biggest goal and our biggest way of giving back.

Now, when Girl Person broke out in hives, she knew she was stressed. And yet, today, the show must go on. We regroup. We are more resolved. We can do thiss, snake. No more questions from you.

Fruitycake

We thank you for being with us every day and for your support. We can’t tell you how much it means to us to be able to continue working on this project but also to be able to have the goal of making this place into a way to be used for wildlife and rescue. With plans for educational videos and rescue spotlights and shows on USA and rescues around the world, this is our biggest chance to continue to make a difference for animals around the world!! We learned so much by traveling to 48 shelters and rescues in every state. We learned the inner workings of animal rescue and the people behind it. And we plan to use our experiences to make a huge difference for fundraising for the ones who do hard work and more. Thank you for believing in us.

Many have asked what our current needs are this week and we are short on supplies and groceries and also supplies for Fruitycake including shampoo, etc.

In order to save time and resources and energy we are sincerely appreciative of those wanting to help us get an electric bike. It would mean more than you know!

So thank you again, and here are the links to help if you so wish. We love you.
