This is Fruitycake. I have seen so many things in my life. There are also things I don’t wish to see. Like the persons taking a shower. My. Eyes.
But this week, we really got some wake up calls. Cold water has a way of doing that, doesn’t it? So do cold shoulders. And cold stares. And cold everything. But cold water is real cold when you’re cold and already not feeling so hot. Get the irony there?
Cold Water Doesn’t Get Any Warmer If You Tip Toe
The persons have been under the weather this week. But they managed to heal a bit with help from each other and me. Girl Person and I even went to school yesterday.
But when we got home, Boy Person had been trying to fix our hot water heater for the shower.
It had been a temporary fix for us anyway, but any hot water is nice and now, it is no more.
When we got to our house in Italy, we had to have quick ways to live so that we could stay here.
But now it’s time, says the persons, to not just survive.
And cold water is not fun for them or me. We can’t make progress with temporary solutions. It’s like that way in life too. If you just fix a problem temporarily, it will most likely just come back.
Now, you do have to see the humor in this as well.
If you remember our camping days, you may recall all of the campground prison showers that Girl Person complained about.
You may recall from our camping days that the persons often had to pay a quarter for five minutes of hot water that took five minutes to get cold.
But you know what? That seems to be luxury right now. It’s all about perspective in life and seeing that you have blessings that you don’t even know are blessings. And when it comes down to it, all of us are the same underneath the clothes and everything you persons try to define yourself with.. I know that because…my. Eyes.
So, looks like it will be solar showers outside…when Boy Person fixes that too, because it also broke yesterday.
But hey, we have a waterfall too, and nature does provide. If we take care of it. Remember that. The waterfall has saved us many times, and it doesn’t even need a quarter to work.
