This is Fruitycake. Today, I got left my breakfast on the counter by Girl Person with specific instructions to Boy Person on how to make it. Why?
She had to go to school to pick up some school books. That means 4 buses and it’s too hot and crowded for me. So Boy Person took over Fruity duty.
I always know that I’ll be taken care of. No matter what is going on in my persons’ lives. And that’s a good feeling. But life can be stressful for so many persons. I see their sad faces when they walk. I see how they worry. So when me and Boy Person went on an expedition to forgot some troubles for awhile, it was fun.
We hiked to the top of our waterfall, right up the mountain. We could see the Mediterranean Sea and the mill down below. And Boy Person said that life was more than just problems. But that sometimes you have to get away from the problems and climb as high as you can to get distance. I understand.
It’s hard for Girl Person especially to read negative comments online. It seems people like to be mean sometimes. It’s ok to have different opinions. But being a bully is never right. I heard about a person that helped foxes and had a rescue. She was trying to make the world a better place. And in return, she got so many negative comments and hate that she took her own life.
I am a dog and I can’t type by myself. I can’t read hurtful things and I’m glad.
I tend to think most persons have love in their hearts. So why do they harm others with words?
Ultimately, you can be responsible for them taking their own life.
You must think before you type just as much as I have to think before I bark. Dogs aren’t the dangerous ones in this world. Humans are.
Wrong is wrong, even if everyone is doing it. Try one day of saying only positive things to others and really believe those things.
Believe in yourself and how much you can affect the world with your words. Because you do. And in memory of Sheriff Brickle, any negative comments on our pages or arguments will be deleted from here out.
We have made mistakes. We have made many. And it’s hard for us right now, so much so that no one even knows. So to keep ourselves going on this goal to have a wildlife center here and to continue all the many posts we do for rescues, you will see less hate.
You will see less negativity on our platforms. I’m not taking any chances with my Girl Person’s life. And we have work to do.

July 29 will always be a sacred day for us — the day our beloved Peanut Butter Brickle left this world, but not our hearts.
Brickle was more than a rescue dog. He was a teacher, a friend, and a source of strength and laughter for so many. His legacy lives on in every life he touched, and we want to honor that legacy in a way that gives back — just like he always did. 💛
To remember him, we plan to place a special picnic table on the land that will soon become a safe haven for animals and an educational center to inspire kindness and connection.
🌿 This table will be a place where people gather, learn, and heal — just like Brickle helped us all do.
