This is Fruitycake. There are many magical things every day that no one takes notice of.
Well, that’s not entirely true. Because the world is made up of more individuals than just persons. And just because they are too busy to see the magical things doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
On our piece of the earth we are taking care of in this Italy place, there is a mineral spring. It’s been here a very long time.
Who knows how long it has been here. It was here before the house was built. Before the persons who built the house were born. And it’s here now.
It was here even without us to see it. It was here when no persons were here for many years. The Mineral Magician is in there. I saw his reflection.
Who is he? I do not know. But the persons can’t see him. I do though. I see him looking at me thru the reflection of the water and the light.
I see him in the water when it’s summer or fall or winter or spring. I see him. And he sees me. The Mineral Magician who has always lived in there watching who takes care of this place. He will never leave. He’s the Mineral Magician who makes the water full of precious things he wants to share with the crows and the bats and the rats and the snakes. He wants to share with the worms and the spiders and the pigs. He shares the magic with those that see him and only them. Because if you don’t see him, you’re walking too fast. If you don’t see him, the magic fades. It doesn’t last.
I know some persons may not believe in the Mineral Magician. But that’s ok. They choose to believe in bad things they hear that persons make up but then, they can’t see the good? That is what doesn’t make sense.
You might think a rescue dog like me wouldn’t care about the Mineral Magician. But I do. Because he sees me. I reflect on our blessings here and our purpose when I see him.
He’s in there just like this whole place is in our hearts. He can see our intentions and our goals made with love for creation…all creation, big or small. Mineral Magician and all.
Do you see who came before you where you live? The persons who were there and the trees and all of the magical things?
I hope you find some today if you’ve been too busy to see them. Because they have already been looking at you waiting for you to see them. Because in their reflection is your purpose too to help your little piece of the earth. What will you do?
Will you plant a tree
Or help a bee?
Will you water a flower
Or taste a lemon that’s sour?
Will you find an apple
Or a sprig of thyme?
Will you see the magic
That grows at night?
The Mineral Magician
Can be a friend
Who lives where you are
It’s not too far
For magic to travel
Thru mud or gravel
It can find your heart
