This is Fruitycake. Life for persons can get a bit overwhelming. Especially when unexpected things happen to them. Us dogs just kick some dirt over our nuances and move on. But persons don’t have that luxury. I love being a dog!
But what happens for persons when they get those setbacks in life? The ones that throw them behind schedule or being able to accomplish less than what they wanted to? They belittle themselves. They feel guilty. They get sick. They feel less than. They don’t give themselves the grace they give to others. So it’s time for today’s affirmation! Ready to say it with me?
I am no different than anyone else. I will have problems in life. I will have setbacks in life. I will be caught off guard. But when those things happen, I will give myself love, grace and understanding. I will allow myself to rest and to recover. I will consider taking a break part of making progress. I love me and I love taking care of myself so that I can take care of others. Because I love taking care of others. And the setbacks make me stronger to do that! I move on today from setbacks or I rest. And that is my decision. I am confident I can make the right ones
