Put It There. Leave It.
This is Fruitycake. Girl Person has written this blog for us, rain or shine, in all the places, countries and no matter what was happening in her life. Because we are that important to her. Not just me. Not just Brickle. Not just Digby. But you too.
The problem though with the last two weeks has been that she couldn’t write because she had surgery. And no matter how hard she tried to, medicine and pain and sickness blocked her favorite thing to do. This blog.
You may not be surprised if you’re reading this, that it doesn’t even matter right now that me and Girl Person are thousands of miles apart and yet she can still write what I need her to.
We have magical rescue powers like that. And so today, my message was loud and clear for her to type. Put it there. Leave it.
You see, Boy Person and I have been holding down the rustico in this Italy place.
But we’ve been worried after all the problems with her surgery and when she will come back.
We are tired. There is too much to do. We can’t do it all ourselves. And we feel guilty about it. More guilty than eating one too many pizzas.
And Girl Person has been feeling guilty for not recovering. For being away. And her lack of being able to keep up with person things.
But my message came to me underneath all the laundry piling up in the buckets. This is a new week. The guilt? I have opened up my paw and I’m inviting my persons to throw the guilt and nervousness in there. They can leave it. And I’ll throw it in the trash. Just like that. Put it there. Leave it.
At the start of a new week, I have my paws open for you today too. What do you need to leave and throw away to have a better start this week? Throw it in there. Get rid of it now. I got you.
We all have to get rid of things to keep making progress, don’t we? Girl Person goes back to the doctor person today and she is hoping so much to get drains out, she said. And she will also learn a date she will be able to come back home.
She said she will tell me the number of days so that we can count down.
And no matter what that number is, we will deal with it. And we will deal with all the changes to come.
We all have something to get rid of today, but my paw is open. I got you. I want you to have a lighter week. And now, it’s up to you to leave it. Whatever the “it” is.
