This is Fruitycake. Has it ever rained on your parade before? I like to walk and prance like I’m in a parade every day. If you’re gonna walk, you should walk with purpose.
Attitude. I walk like I’m a cool dude.
But the rain here in this Italy place sure does rain on the Fruity parade. Especially yesterday. When it rains so much, you have a choice to not ever walk or walk in the rain. And although I don’t love water and don’t even like it a little bit, I do love my Girl Person and our walks. And so that’s what we did yesterday.
Why did the Fruity parade not even get cancelled in the rain? Because Girl Person leaves on Friday for that Florida place.
And she is going to be done for three weeks. I don’t know how we will survive without each other. Rain or shine, we would rather be together than anywhere else apart. It’s as simple as that.
If it’s been raining on your parade lately, I know how you feel. You try your best to have fun in life and you think you are making progress. And then? The rain comes. You feel the parts of you that you don’t like trying to keep you down. To stop your parade. But you can’t do that! You have to keep walking!
Here is what I know the last week has taught me. That seagulls don’t like me and Girl Person. They keep attacking us.
I’ve learned that in this Italy place, men with feathers in their hats can invade a country and they throw parties for them all week.
I’ve learned that they sell pizza socks in this Italy place.
I’ve learned that I can ride a boat and have fun on the sea!
If I would have not chosen to walk in the rain this last week, I would have missed all that. Imagine what you’re missing when you don’t walk in the rain! Now get that umbrella!
