You’re Almost There, Brickle

This last week has given us quite a few challenges! Being in England for three weeks did us all good. We were able to rest a bit. And hike a lot. We were able to adjust to being out of our home country. But I think it’s going to take me a lot longer than I thought. It’s one thing to go on vacation somewhere. It’s quite another thing to realize that being uncomfortable and struggling is going to be a reality from now on! The language barriers and every day life is hard! But the amazing thing is, our dogs don’t understand “countries.” They just know when we are happy and they are happy. They don’t care about politics. But they do care if they are comfortable. And I’m positive that they know and care about home. And you’re almost there, Brickle.

When we bought the little rustico in Italy, I wanted Brickle to see it. I hoped for that so very much. But many days it seemed impossible with his health problems. And his bad days. Somehow, once again, even with a new growth in his mouth and pain and weakness, he pulled thru with therapies. And he got chiropractic treatments. And massage. And medications for dementia and pain. And once again, he proved so many people wrong. But not the ones who believed in him and us. And we thank you. Beyond words.

Now that we’ve come so far, we literally have a week until we get Brickle to his home in Italy. And it’s our responsibility to make it comfortable and joyous for him. He’s worked very hard to retire. And I can’t believe this dream is coming true. A true fairy take. A rescue dog thrown away who ended up traveling the whole United States and flying over in a jet plane to travel to his home in Italy. Book coming? Maybe!

We need your encouragement and love now more than ever. Brickle has had a few setbacks this last week with eating and strength. He’s had more aches and pains and therefore more treatments and medication. We have to travel many miles this week by car. And it’s the last big road trip for Brickle. We need your encouragement. We are almost there, Brickle.

If you would like to help with Brickle’s healthcare and treatments and supplies, you can do so here. We appreciate it more than you know at this time! Let’s go! We are coming, little house in Italy. Your dog is on his way. Two!
