Fruitycake’s Monday Affirmation
This is Fruitycake.
Oh, this heat. Stick a fork in me—I’m done. I could probably bake a pizza on this mountain without any fire.
But hey, the truth is our strength is getting less and less to survive up here. We’re trying to come up with alternatives and make a new plan. Sometimes one way of doing something simply doesn’t work anymore.
That’s what Girl Person thought when she was trying to find a spoon the other day. She had been gone for surgery for a while, and Boy Person moved some of her things. She could only find a fork. As useful as a fork is, it doesn’t work in every situation.
But my affirmation today? Hopefully it will work for you. Ready to say it out loud with me? Okay!
I am capable. I will recognize when something isn’t working. I will figure out what tool I need to accomplish what needs to be done. I won’t rely on doing things the same way every time. I know changing tools isn’t giving up—it’s being smart. I will be the kind of person who makes things happen in a unique, different, and amazing way. Today, I will recognize the right tool and use it.
I believe we all can have a good week and make things happen. All the things!
