This is Fruitycake. The last few days have been a real blur. If dogs needed glasses, I could use some right now. But alas, I’m sure that they would fall off with how much walking I’m making Boy Person do.
You see, Girl Person had her surgery last week. And she’s been away in that Florida place.
Boy Person is doing all he can to keep me busy. And by busy, I mean letting me do what I want to do. He lets me pick wherever I want to walk. And you might say that I kind of have been taking advantage of the situation.
So much so that I have seemed to have made him forget his sadness over Girl Person being gone. That was my plan but also it was my plan to keep myself busy too.
Every day, Girl Person calls us to check in on us. And even though she only has enough energy to talk for a few minutes at a time, she gets the rundown of the day’s activities.
And where I chose to walk. Boy Person says if she looks out her window, she may just see us walk by, that is how much walking is happening.
I say that when you’re going thru hard times, simply doing the simple things can keep you going. Girl Person is having some problems and she doesn’t have the energy to walk. But I can try and walk enough for all of us. And I will.
You never know, maybe I can walk some for you today too. I’ll carry some of the load for you. Because when you help someone else, even when you’re going thru hard times, somehow, your load gets lighter.
Girl Person goes back to the doctor tomorrow and will find out more about her situation. And how she can more easily get thru this and when she may get to come home.
We will update you all along the way. But I may be typing and walking at the same time. Look out your window today and wave if me and Boy Person walk by.
