This is Fruitycake. If there is one thing that I like about getting out of bed, it’s that I have another bed for the day.
I have the persons’ bed at night. And the Fruity bed during the day. All beds are truly available at all times, though. It’s like a 24 hour diner in that United States place. But for dog beds.
Another thing that I like about getting up in the morning is that the breakfast menu will be available as well. How do I like my eggs in the morning?
Well, any way that Girl Person prepares them for me. It’s always a surprise. I may get eggs shaped like a flower or the sun with prosciutto or cheese or vegetables. I may get a breakfast sandwich or pancakes like Digby Pancake did. I sure like that menu.
I think that when so called ordinary parts of a day are jazzed up, that is the best feeling in the world.
Imagine a world without breakfast. Or a world without dogs!
Don’t clutch your pearls.
Don’t be ashamed that you’re in horror.
Because truly, all the ordinary parts are the absolute best parts of life’s menu!
And it’s ok to wonder what you’re having for breakfast the night before. It’s ok to imagine fresh clean sheets for your bed and how that will feel at night. It’s ok to think of how your dog’s fur makes you cry happy tears. Oh, the best parts of life are so happy that they make you cry.
We may have always felt guilty about being happy or enjoying the little things. But you’re not a robot, and neither am I.
When you stop going thru the motions and be a part of what makes the world go round, that’s when you’ll enjoy the ride. Now. How do you like your eggs in the morning? I’ll put it on the menu!

When we decided to move the blog to Patreon four days a week, it was with much hesitation and many tears, actually. We have always voluntarily produced the blog, taking a minimum of two hours a day alone each weekday since that time. We have always produced videos and articles and recipes at no charge to all. But this year, we were forced to make a hard decision and move the blog to Patreon.
We hoped that asking our audience of over one million to join would happen. We were a bit disappointed that our audience didn’t feel a $5 a month subscription was worth paying.
We want to thank the dear ones who were able to join us on Patreon, all 148 of you. You have made it possible to keep the rescue shares, rescue outreach and the blog going with a free one each Monday too.
We added to our content for you with a daily reading of the blog and even more recipes. But, we really want to revisit this push for Patreon. Why?
We understand many can’t afford $5 a month and they miss the blog. And that hurts us. We also know that we can’t work for free. So we think that perhaps we have come up with a way to make this work.

People who need a bright spot in their day. People who read the blog to their animals. A way to help rescue animals and people at the same time!
