This is Fruitycake. If secrets were meant to be kept, it wouldn’t be so fun to tell them. Now, I get your point that some secrets have to be kept. But my point is, the tale of the secret, pointy toe isn’t one of them.
There are a lot of things that need to be fixed around here. If I wrote a list, like persons like to do, it would be longer than this path to our house. And that is long.
But one thing that needs to be fixed in my opinion is Girl Person’s toe. When she took off her shoes yesterday, I didn’t gasp for air because of the smell. No. That would be my feet.
But I gasped because there was a pointy toe. No, not just any pointy toe. But a toe that was so long and crooked, we could hire it to do some work around here.
It could pick up the trash. By itself.
It could mow down all the weeds. By itself.
It could be used as a ladder. Up and down all day long would be the use of the pointy toe.
Now, I can’t even share a picture of this secret pointy toe. And certainly not a video. Some secrets are better left unsaid but I said it.
The secret pointy toe seems to have appeared with all Girl Person’s foot problems. And I’m not sure any shoes can fix it. But hey. Maybe there is a secret pair of shoes just for secret pointy toes. She needs them yesterday.
I even made up a song about the secret, pointy toe.
The pointy toe is a secret here
To behold it, you may need a beer.
You can’t hide from its consequences
Because it can be used like wrenches
It’s a secret not to tell
Because if you saw it you would yell
And we don’t need that jazz
We just need to laugh
Because you see
We all have a secret
You and me
Me may not have a pointy toe
But your secret you know.
So don’t judge someone
Until you walk in their shoes
But if you see a secret pointy toe
Your sight you will lose.
My point of the tale of the secret pointy toe is we all have something about us that we want to change. Something may come with age or drama or trauma. Sometimes things do change that what we go thru. But the secret is to laugh at what we can laugh at. And what we can’t? Keep that in your shoes. For good. It’s your secret. Just keep walking!

Our happy rescue story today is about Honey!
Honey, aka Honey Bun, Honey Bunny, Pretty Girl! She was about 1 year old when she found herself in a shelter in that Pennsylvania place after running as a stray somewhere in that Kentucky place! Her person first met her on the side of a road, where her foster mom was when the wheel fell off her truck. Yes, you read it right! That was in the Pocono mountains of that Pennsylvania place, in very cold weather. That was their meet & greet. When her person asked her foster mom how she could adopt her, she just said
“well, I suppose you can take her right now !” And 14 years later, ( she is 15 now) the rest is history! Her Girl Person says “she is indeed is my very sweet “Honey Bun””
