This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I wanted to write the blog today because I felt that I could do it the best out of our family. We had to let a member of our family go yesterday. Our yellow Jeep.

Our yellow Jeep has been with the family longer than I have. In fact, it picked me up from that shelter jail place. It was my freedom ride.
My persons don’t know this, but Digby and I nicknamed the yellow Jeep Jellow.
Yes. We did.

So I find it hard to think that Jellow won’t be with us on our adventures from now on when it’s been a part of every one.
Have you ever had to say goodbye? It sure isn’t easy.

I know Jellow will get all fixed up and loved on by a new family.

It’s going to be harder on us than her. I would assume she will probably be cleaner. Less dog hair.

And maybe she can even think about taking it easier.
Even though we loved her, we knew what was best. But it doesn’t make it easier.
Because we loved her. Where the yellow Jeep goes, there comes sunshiney.

You see, not only has she traveled all over with us, but she took us to 48 animal shelters and rescues.

You couldn’t frown when you looked at the yellow Jeep. Because where the yellow Jeep goes, and where she went, she brought hope.
Hope to the shelters that they could get some help. Hope to other dogs that they too could be rescued and go on adventures and have a good life.

A hope of happily ever after.

So to me, it would be selfish to always keep her when she could bring her sunshiney to others. We’ve used her and have loved her and have appreciated her. As we said goodbye, we did feel sad. Sad that we couldn’t keep her forever.
But I’ve found in life that the most precious parts of it can’t stay forever. Otherwise we wouldn’t appreciate them as much.
Go on Jellow. And be the sunshiney you are.

Thank you. Thank you for all the adventures we had together. Thank you for keeping us safe. Thank you for being our friend. Now live it up! We will. But we will never forget you.
