Peanut Buttery Carroty Coconuty Cake For Dogs
Ingredients
1 organic egg
1/2 cup organic, creamy peanut butter plus an additional 4 tablespoons for the frosting
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup organic maple syrup plus an additional 2 tablespoons for the frosting
1 cup shredded organic carrots
1 cup organic all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
Optional: 3 tablespoons organic shredded coconut flakes
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl, combine the egg, peanut butter, oil, and maple syrup.
Stir in the carrots, then gradually add the flour and baking soda until well combined.
Pour into a small and greased baking pan. A pie pan or single layer cake pan works. If you want a really fancy, layer cake, you can double this recipe!
Bake in the oven for 30 minutes. Turn onto a wire rack and let cool completely.
Once cool, mix the reserved peanut butter and maple syrup to make a simple frosting. Sprinkle with coconut flakes.
May be refrigerated for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months.
