If you are planning a trip to the North Georgia area, you don’t have to leave your dog at home. But, if you are like me, the seemingly endless amounts of options for vacation rentals like AirBnbs and VRBO’s can be frustrating. The expensive pet fees and cleaning fees can be overwhelming. When we first arrived to the area, we rented a cabin thru AirBnb. The pictures online simply did not match the reality of a dirty floor, a full trash can and a collapsed bridge on the property. I wanted to find another, reliable and dog friendly option. I knew there had to be another way.
After researching and reading reviews, I narrowed down our accommodation options to simply one vacation rental company, Morning Breeze Cabin Rentals.

The problem I have encountered with many pet friendly rentals is that I still don’t feel welcome. I want to be relaxed on vacation. I want my dogs to be relaxed. And when you walk into a cabin rental by Morning Breeze Cabin Rentals, you will absolutely feel welcome. The first things I noticed were the dog treats, the dog towels and the dog bowls!

In some of the the rentals, there was also a dog bed. I want my dog to be as comfortable as I am. So here are our top 3 dog friendly, North Georgia cabin rentals picked by Peanut Butter Brickle and Fruitycake!
Cherry Lake Hideaway
This is a great cabin to stay at if you want to experience both the towns of Ellijay and Blue Ridge.
You can drive to either downtown area and stroll many of the shops with your dog. We especially liked the Cherry Lake Hideaway because it was private and had a great view of the lake. As well, there are numerous hiking trails off of the main road that lead to waterfalls and creeks! We walked to these trails right from our cabin.
There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms in this cabin. One is upstairs and one is downstairs.
The kitchen had a great, large layout and a table by the window to see the lake. The hot tub was an added bonus for the persons and the fire pit by the lake is a great way to watch the sun set with your dogs.
This North Georgia mountain cabin rental is cute and cozy with a perfect view of Cherry Lake.
With this adorable Lake Front Cabin, you will find a nice large hot tub, rockers, and cushioned wicker seating are all available for you to melt into and take in this magnificent Georgia Mountain setting. Float around the lake in the canoe or maybe you enjoy the thrill of fishing on this beautiful private Georgia lake. Venture a few steps down to the dock and throw in a line, with hopes of reeling in the “big one”. Fry up the day’s catch on the grill and enjoy dinner outside on the private deck overlooking the pristine waters of this lovely little lake. Then, have a glass of wine from one of our local Georgia wineries and indulge in the soothing hot tub or relax around the fire-pit as the sun sets over the stunning North Georgia terrain.

Keepin It Reel
This cabin was probably our favorite! It is a bit of a drive and a bit out of the way. The closest town is Ellijay, and we would recommend getting your supplies and food before heading to your home away from home.
The creek that runs next to this cabin can be heard from every room in the house. We can’t say enough about the sounds and sights of this property, Keepin It Reel. Hummingbirds frequented our porch each day and we enjoyed a fire by the water complete with snacks and beverages! If you are looking to get away from everything, this is the cabin for you.
There is plenty of room for your dog to run outside and then jump in the creek for a swim. Watch your dogs play from the hot tub which also overlooks the creek, and put on a pot of soup in the well stocked kitchen.
If you are looking for a luxurious North Georgia cabin rental with an incredible water-front setting that offers both a mountain feel and water access, this is definitely your dream getaway. Located on a lovely wooded lot surrounded by trees on either side you will feel like you are tucked away in the wilderness with all the conveniences of home at your fingertip. Wake up to the soothing sounds of Tickanetley Creek right outside your door and you will be immediately lulled into a deep state of relaxation that will follow you throughout the day. Beautifully situated in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Georgia, this cabin sits on the banks of Tickanetley Creek, a well-known spot for trout fishing. Anglers and other outdoor enthusiasts will also enjoy proximity to the towns of Talking Rock and Ellijay. Unwind on the screened porch, take a nap in the sunroom or maybe stretch out on the hammock as you listen the birds chirping, fish jumping and squirrel scurrying. Maybe you grab a chair and relax by the banks of the creek… or better yet, just jump in and indulge that child within. Creekside Hideaway
This cabin was by far the most convenient to get to and did not disappoint on the experience of staying right by a creek.
Located near Mercier Orchards, get your apples and wine and snacks and head to the Creekside Hideaway.
You will have plenty of areas to walk your dog and enjoy your nights on the deck complete with a hot tub and outdoor furniture. Or in the winter months, there is a fireplace inside too!
We booked an extra night because we were so comfortable and we didn’t want to go.
This cabin was so clean and so well decorated. We most certainly will be back.

What we like about all of the Morning Breeze cabins we have stayed at is the reliability factor. We know the cabins will be clean and decorated. We know that if there is any problem, it will be handled immediately. We also love that directions and all information is sent ahead of time without asking.
