Oh, the joy of barbecue! Whether you like to cook out when you are camping, or grill a hamburger inside the comfort of your kitchen, almost every family has their own recipe.

For this recipe, we have left off the bun as dogs don’t need all those extra carbs and sugar. You could serve this alongside some sweet potato fries or collard greens!
Barbecue Hamburgers For Dogs And People
Ingredients For The Burger
1 pound organic, lean ground beef, turkey or chicken
1 organic egg
1 teaspoon organic dried oregano
2 tablespoons chopped red pepper
1/2 cup grated organic mozzarella cheese
1 organic tomato sliced thin
(Optional) Ingredients For The Relish and Barbecue Sauce
1 organic cucumber cut into very thin slices
4 tablespoons organic apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons organic coconut aminos
1 tablespoon organic honey
1 tablespoon organic tomato paste
Directions to make the burger
Mix the ground beef, red pepper and oregano. Form into patties. Place tomato slices on top and cheese. Spray a nonstick pan with olive oil. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and bake the patties for 30 minutes. Let sit in the oven for an additional 15 minutes, then remove and let cool to room temperature.
To make the relish and barbecue sauce (optional)
MIx all ingredients. Refrigerate overnight or for at least 8 hours. Spoon on top of burger. Serve!
