About and Contact Us

With our growing fanbase, we have realized that many of you are wondering…just who ARE these people and furkids? What are they doing?  Why?  We take this time to answer some of the many questions we have received lately on our Facebook page.  And thank you for the inquiries! We love our fans, and we love to hear from you.

  1. Why do you write a 2 Traveling Dogs dog blog every day? Hmmm.  Good question.  But that is Brickle and Digby’s decision.  They said that they like to tell you what goes on in their day…and they like to hear what you think about it.  They said that rescue dogs have much to say, but some of their owners won’t type for them.  You may want to think about that.

  2.  Why do you share so many sad animals on your Facebook page, especially first thing in the morning when I am trying to drink my coffee?  Let’s face it.  No one, including us, want to see the possibility that a furkid will die.  And yes, seeing their face on our computer makes it even more real.  We are no different than you.  But guess what?  By us sharing, or you sharing for that matter, it may be their only hope.  And why in the morning?  Many of these furkids have until NOON.  If we don’t share early, there is no point.

  3.  Why did you start this website and Facebook page?  We started this website in 2011 because we were planning a cross country move from Florida to California.  We wanted to show people the right way to move with their animals.  Soon however, we realized that people were interested in our little family. So we changed our site and Facebook pages to promote animal rescue.  We used our popularity for good..and our lives were changed forever.

  4.  Do you really respond to all of our comments on Facebook? Is that really you? No.  It’s Brickle and Digby.  I don’t have time for that.

  5. Why don’t you write a book? Good idea.  We are.  Brickle and Digby however want a raise in peanut butter cookies and pancakes to finish.  We are in the middle of negotiations.

  6.  Don’t you have a real job?  How do you have time to do this? Yes, we have jobs.  And it involves everything dog.  After all the dog treat recalls, we decided we were not taking a chance with our furkids’ lives or health, so we started Your Dog’s Diner.  It’s a great resource of recipes and fun tips for your dog!  You can check it out on www.yourdogsdiner.com

  7.  How can we support you and your cause?  Thanks for asking.  This is a question we get all the time.  Please don’t mail us money.  We would rather you donate to your local shelter in our name if you wish.  Even donating your time to foster or rescue is what makes us happy!  And of course hearing from you on Facebook or email is furbulous.  If you know of a success story that occurred due to our website, or Facebook page, please tell us!  Every story matters to us.  And if you are so inclined, buy a t-shirt at www.shop.spreadshirt.com/2travelingdogs!

  8. How long are you going to keep doing this?  Furever.  Or as long as you will have us.

We love you fans! Each one of you matters to us.  Thank you for all of your support.

Dearest GP, BP, DIGBY and BRICKLE…..I have a wonderful suggestion for you. Go up to Crescent City, California. It is beautiful there! Has sunshiney, the ocean, hiking and so much more! And you can buy a house with a yard for as little as $20 thousand!! It’s a very quiet and quaint little town with all the amenities you will ever need!
It has lovely weather…..75-80 in summertime and 55-60 now in the winter! I have written to you all about this place on every one of your blogs….but never get a reply. Chevk it out for yourselves because I know that you will Love it!❤️😊😊❤️

    FYI for East Tennessee:
Contact McMinn Regional Humane Society when you come to Tennessee.
also have a FB page and they get lots of great furbabies into new homes! They are northeast of Chattanooga and northwest of Cleveland in the Athens area. Our friend Cyndy (Pooches on the Move/Pooches Cooperative) works closely with them to find homes in New England when homes can’t be found locally. The best vet in Cleveland is Oscar Wilson (just in case).

I saw the post from Dallas and I know they have good dog parks there. I have a friend in Arlington, right outside of Dallas and they are always taking their dogs (3) to the dog parks. All their dogs are rescue dogs too.

Hey y’all! Come down to Dallas, Texas! We have amazing dog parks including NothBark Park and BarkwayCentral!! Mutts Cantina is a perfect place for the puppies and humans as well!

Gonna miss you guys and soon the treat bag will once again be overflowing with only Aimee to share. Have a safe trip and may all your dreams be filled with lots of exciting adventures in the days to come.
    Your friend,
    Backwater Billy.

  6. I have cats (and we all LIVE in Sonoma – come back!) Do your furbabies like cats…or at least tolerate them? 2 of my 3 are sisters. Choco is a singleton, but really thinks he is the big brother. (and a bit bossy!)

If you don’t know about Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) in Walnut Creek. You need to. Good stop on the way back to Sonoma because Walnut Creek is only about an hour away.

all my animals are, and always have been, rescues. Love your work…let us know how we can help.
    Woman person from Sonoma, Maggie
