That Was An Error.

This is Peanut Butter Brickle. I have been on this planet long enough to know when an error is made in judgement.

I have been on this earth long to know when it’s time to keep going.

And when it’s time to turn around.

For example…this weekend we went to a place to hike by the water. A fort. The site where a shipwreck was found underneath the water.

All of this sounded super interesting. Until you looked at the comments online about the trail. Seemed like the overwhelming thought was that of running for your life. From mosquitos.

Now, you would have thought that since it was November in this North Carolina place that this would not be an issue. If you think this, you would be making an error. Like us.

Because about a mile into our hike, we had two choices. Keep going and hope it would get better. Or to turn around and run like mad. We. Ran. Like. Mad.

Some may have called this a failed hike. I call it a smart hike. Because just like in life, sometimes it’s hard to accept you made a mistake in judgment.

An error. And you can either deny it and keep on. Or turn around and learn.

Mosquitoes are persistent. They hurt. Just like a mistake. But what hurts even worse is not knowing when to start again. So start. Again.

And run. Like. Mad.

Well, the Persons are from Florida. They should have known better. Mosquitoes are not gone ever in some places. Maybe there are fewer of them for a couple months in mid-winter, but, yeah, we got a lot of mosquitoes around here in this Louisiana Place, too. It hasn’t been cold. And we have trucks fogging the neighborhood every night. But we still have those nasty biters. Take care, and keep the repellant handy, and, Fruitycake, keep your shirt on! >^. .^<
