This is Fruitycake the Raccoon. I bet you haven’t thought about it much. But I have dreams. Not just about good food and adventure. But I’ve had goals. Dreams. For all of my life.
You see, when I was living on the street without a home, I dreamed of safety. I dreamed of a full belly. I dreamed to feel loved by someone. I had dreams.
Do you have dreams? Do you have that one dream you are scared to talk about?
I’d like to hear about your dream. I’m not sure why persons aren’t themselves and don’t tell others what they mean. Brickle tells me there are reasons. And I always listen to Brickle.
Brickle says sometimes other persons put each other down. He said when they don’t understand something they most of the time even don’t try to. He says every person, just like us, have dreams. They just may not talk about them.
If others would have made fun of me for having dreams to have a home or love, that would have felt awful. Why do persons do that to each other? Why can’t they celebrate different dreams and goals?
Maybe you have a dream to have a house. Or you have a dream to live somewhere in your heart. It’s calling your name!
Maybe you want to move or to help others more. Dreams are so beautiful. They are anything you can imagine! And if you imagine it and work towards it, oh, you can make that dream come true. How do I know?
I was one of 600 dogs at a shelter. I had always been on the street. They hadn’t even gave me a name. Now I have a whole name. Fruitycake The Raccoon. Isn’t that a dream come true? Yours can come true too! Talk about it! Be proud of it! It’s yours!! Don’t anyone put you down about it. Or tell you that you can’t do it. You. Can. You. Can. You can do it. I know.
But first you have to say it out loud. Put it outside of your mind. It’s your life. It’s your dream. Tell me.
