This is Peanut Butter Brickle. First of all, I want to tell you how much I love you and how much my persons love you.
I also want to tell you that we are having a rough time without our Digby Pancake.
On December 1, 2021, Digby felt no pain after taking his last breath with all of us by his side. Instead of dwelling on that day, it is my intent to be what Digby wants me to be. The best I can be. But right now, I am not there yet. Right now, our family is not there yet. We wanted to be there for you this week with our daily blogs on schedule. But we need another week. We are tired. Sad. Trying to be ok. But we are not ready. And we will try for next Monday, December 18th. But until then, some good friends of ours including Dog Lovers Guru and others have volunteered to entertain you a bit this week with some information we think is important. Look on this page every day this week for a new article. We appreciate your patience with us. Very much.
We do want to ask you…our family…can we continue the blog? I am here. I am Brickle. I still have much to say. I still have much to do. I want to be there for you as you have been for us. Please tell me. I want to hear from you…

I know it’s hard right now without Digby pancake, but he is watching over you guys and he thanks you for all you have done for him and other rescues. Grief is something that is tough and believe me I know, these past 2 years for me have been rough, but hang in there. I am here to listen if you want to talk.
Yes, Brickle. We want to hear everything you have to say. We’re hanging on every word. But we also know you need time to rest and understand how to heal. Just be with each other. That’s all that counts.
Take all the time you need! We will all still be here whenever you feel ready to share your lives with us again. Anyone that has suffered a loss such as this understands how broken your hearts are. I’ve been in this situation and completely understand. And, Brickle..YES! YES, we want to hear from you! You are as wise as you are handsome😘
Take your time. We love you all. You will know when it is time to make the next move. As you learn to live without such a big part of your lives. We enjoy the blog. We will be here when you are able to continue your journey. For Deputy Digby, he will always be there with you.
We are here and we’re going nowhere. We will be here with you as you take this difficult journey, and as you find your way back to peace. Right now, everything you see or do reminds you of Digby, and the wound doesn’t heal. But we are still here for all of you, and we will continue to follow you through sadness and joy. Maybe one day, you’ll get a new brother you can teach “how to dog” after he comes from a bad start like yours and Digby’s. That’s what your life is all about, and it’s why you and Digby have so many followers. We see in you what life can be after you’ve been thrown away. All it takes is the love, care, and patience, the devotion of persons like Girl Person and Boy person, to give you a life you never dreamed you’d have. And we’ll keep up with you through the good times and the bad times. We love you all. We realize that, if we’re as sad as we are, you must be even more at a loss. We’ll wait.
We’ll be here when you’re ready to come back. Most of us know what you are going through and we understand it takes time. We love you all.

I highly recommend taking time through the end of the year at least. Then, when you’re all ready and fine, start a NEW endeavor. New title. New adventures. Maybe a search for a new partner in adventures for Brickle. Maybe something else. The last book was complete and a beautiful ending though sad. Start a new book with new chapters and some new characters. Brickle can teach new ones the ways of the Rescue…..

I understand your grief and know the feeling. Please take your time. I still cry over one of my dogs that has been passed on for almost 30 years when I hear “You Are My Sunshine!!” I will be waiting for more tales from Brickle!!
