This is Digby Pancake. It’s been awhile since you’ve heard from me! And I’m not feeling all the way better. But some better is still better. Don’t you think?

The worst thing to me when I get sick is that I lose my appetite. I don’t know where it goes. I don’t even have the energy to look for it. I feel lost without my appetite. What do you feel lost without?

I wish that I didn’t get sick. I wish that I didn’t scare all of you, my persons and Brickle. But as an older in years but young in looks puppy, I accept the not so good days will come every now and then. But the magic part is that there are more good days than not so good days. And I’m strong enough to accept that. I’m also strong enough to fight Girl Person as she’s trying to stick those pills in my mouth. How strong?

I’m as strong as al dente pasta! The persons like al dente pasta. They say that means the pasta is cooked but a little firm when you bite into it.

And just like that pasta, I can be strong when I need to be. I can stand up to the pressure.

So yesterday, since my appetite was back a little and Girl Person said I needed to get up my appetite and my strength, she made us some dog treats. Pasta Chips Dog Treats.

Oh, they were so yummy. Crunchy. Like magic. Magically delicious!

Girl Person said she was feeling creative because I was feeling better. She said that’s all the energy she needs in the world. She said Brickle and I are her biggest motivation. She said we make her feel better and stronger and al dente when we get better. And I’m glad about that.

Because even on one or five of those not so good days I have had the past week, something good came out of it. They also came out of the air fryer.

When I don’t feel good, I keep thinking of the days I’ve had when I do.

Others may think I’m not strong or maybe give up on me. That’s ok. They don’t know how al dente I am. How al dente are you? I bet more than you know.
