That Breeze Is For You

This is Deputy Digby Pancake. It’s tough being the happy one sometimes. I try my best. But even I need to hear an encouraging word now and then. Yes. Even me.

The more you talk about food, the more hungry you are. I like to talk about food. And yes. I’m always hungry.

But the more you talk about negative things, well, the more negative you will be. And that’s not a good thing.

The truth is, I’m happy every day because I appreciate every day. Sure. There are things I’m not blind too. But I also see that each day is different. Unique. Special. We won’t ever see it again. And I’m not sure why persons can’t see that.

Yesterday was another day to persons full of bad news. Disappointments were many. But that’s not all I heard. I heard the birds singing despite that.

I felt the grass beneath my belly.

The sound of good things was certainly louder than the bad. But you had to turn down the bad volume. Only then could you hear and feel the breeze. The breeze that was saying, “I’m here. I’m for you.”

When we ignore the good things in front of us to only see the bad, well, we will feel bad. How could you expect any other outcome?

And when you only talk about bad things to others, you feel even worse. Can we be a breath of fresh air to someone today? Can we be a refreshing breeze? A tall drink of water?

It’s going to be hard to wake up each day with a good attitude. But remember. The good things haven’t went anywhere. They can still shine thru.

Let’s be a refreshment.

That reminds me. I’m hungry.
