This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle. Some persons would say that I have the life. And Deputy Digby too. You know, hiking and camping and exploring all of the time. Yes, there is a lot of freedom that comes with living in your house on wheels. There also seems to be a lot of people that drive into our neck of the woods. Every. Single. Weekend.
Our house, it has a crowd
There’s always something happening
And it’s usually quite loud
I look at the calendar, and I know that it is about to start on about Thursday. Here they come. All of these persons driving into our yard, our campground. I am not sure why they think that they can do this. I mean, don’t they know that we live here? Did I send them an invitation to come to my house? I did not. This is my house.
Our house, in the middle of our street
We have been here for almost a month and a half now in this Jacksonville, Florida place. And the longer we sit, the longer we stay. Kind of like a dog trick. But it is not a trick. And it is also not a treat when all of these persons invade our space.
Our house, was our castle and our keep
Our house, in the middle of our street
Girl Person had a talk with us and told us that we are only parked here and that we don’t own where we are parked at. That we actually don’t own this campground. I find this information sort of shocking and not very appealing. Do I look appealing? Actually I do.
Girl Person said that not owning something doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy it. She said to maybe look at it in a different way. She reminded us of all of the places we have traveled to the past two years and that even though we didn’t own any of those places, we still carried them with us in our hearts. She said that even though other people want to enjoy where we live too, there is nothing wrong with that. However, I must disagree on a few things. As I always do.
Not owning this campground has a few advantages. We don’t have a lawn to mow. We can walk to the beach. We can even take a little trip when we want to. But I have gazing, adoring fans who stare at me all day. And there is only so much handsome to go around. I gotta hold some on reserve. So I told Girl Person about this, and she agreed. This was an emergency of sorts.
And so we decided that on Monday, we are going to travel to see our family in that Tampa, Florida place and take a break from the campground and from the handsome stealers. Boy Person is going to work on the Big Blue Treat Wagon and we are going to think about…really think about…our next steps. We can’t live at our favorite campground on the beach forever. Or can we? We already have reservations to come back in April. Bahaha.
And I remember how we’d play, simply waste the day away
Then we’d say nothing would come between us
Two dreamers
We haven’t found a house here, but we are thinking of some other options. Some exciting ones, yet simple ones. We have had enough time to find a house, and nothing seemed right. So what does seem right? Staying in the Big Blue Treat Wagon? Or something else? Stay tuned, because we don’t even know. We know that life is pretty good right now. And even I can’t argue with that.
Our house may be in the middle of the street, but home is home. Home is where your heart is. Apparently, Deputy Digby lives in his stomach. I totally don’t think anyone else would invade on that space. You don’t want to go there. But maybe you will come with us on Monday to that Tampa place? This is your official invitation. Hoping that the Big Blue Treat Wagon RV has it in her…let’s do this!
