World’s Apart.

This is Deputy Digby Pancake.  Another week is here.  And what are we going to do with it I wonder?

Troubled times
Caught between confusions and pain, pain, pain

It is another week for the persons to make considerations on a house or no house.  It is another week of deciding where we want to go.  And all of the choices? Well, they seem world’s apart pretty much.  But we have decided that this week, we are going to try and have a different outlook on it.  You know, a Deputy Digby outlook.

Someday love will find you
Break those chains that bind you

In my opinion, there can be no wrong decision.

Girl Person? I love her, I really do.  But no one has ever accused her of being a happy go lucky kinda gal.  She worries so much that she goes to sleep worrying and wakes up worrying.

Here we stand
Worlds apart
Hearts broken in two, two, two
Sleepless nights
Losing ground
I’m reaching for you, you, you

If she would let me sleep on her head, well, she wouldn’t worry about worrying which she does too.  She keeps saying that the persons don’t want to make a wrong decision, but no decision is a wrong decision in my Deputy view.  Sometimes, you just gotta go with the flow or flow on an extra bush and go with it.  I think part of the problem is really that they love it here so much in the Bodega Bay place that they are heartsick about even moving campgrounds.  Newsflash, persons.  We don’t live here.  Someone actually asked Girl Person on a trail the other day where we were from, and she all of a sudden said Bodega Bay.  Now, I am a dog and not much for details, but that seemed cray cray.  And Girl Person realized immediately what she said and started laughing.  Yeah, we have been here for awhile!  Girl Person?  Florida?  California?  Not the same place…in fact, they are kinda worlds apart!! But I won’t tell if you don’t.

This week, we have a few things on our agenda.  Pancakes.  And then pancakes.  And then, maybe some pumpkin cake…

And then, after all the cake on the agenda, Sheriff Brickle has to go the vet person on Wednesday.  Yep.  You heard me.  It is time that his handsome butt goes to the vet just like I have to all of the time to get checked out.  Girl Person says that this is probably not going to go over very well with him…stay tuned. I smell an arrest coming.

If you must go
I wish you love

And then on Friday, well, we are pulling this Big Blue Treat Wagon out of Bodega Bay as the campground has no more spots. And where are we going?  I have no clue, and the persons have no clue.  We would like to find somewhere close to park where we used to live years ago in the Sonoma area.  But it is not such an easy task.  Good thing we can drive our house to wherever we have to go.  See? Don’t you like my outlook, persons?  But honestly, even I am sad to leave Bodega Bay.  It has been so good to us.  And I am not sure if our hearts can ever truly leave here.  One minute away from here seems worlds apart right now.  Ok, give me some pancakes before I get sad too. And Deputy Digby never gets sad.

True love won’t desert you
You know I still love you
Though we touched
And went our separate ways

I had an idea, and I think that you may like it.  This week on a blog, we will be asking for your opinion on our next steps. Why? We need your opinion!  So stay tuned and see how you can give us your piece of mind and perhaps a piece of cake, whatever you may choose.  I think we had a pretty good year, and although the Adventure Of A Lifetime is complete, that doesn’t mean the next adventure can’t be just as good!  But we have to keep a positive attitude here!

Feelin’ that it’s gone
Can’t change your mind
If we can’t go on
To survive the tide
Love divides

A new adventure is never worlds apart, but a day apart.  And tomorrow?  It is waiting!

Oh, precious Digby. I LOVE your outlook!!! And this line is KILLING me!!! “If she would let me sleep on her head, well, she wouldn’t worry about worrying which she does too. ” Sleep on Girl Persons head!! 😀 And the hashtags on the “Driving With Digby” are the best!! “:D Oh, but poor Brickle. He had your back when you had to see the vet person, I know you will have your brothers back too. That’s what Good Boys do, but you both know that!!! You’re right though, possibly more than ONE arrest. And I LOVE your blog idea, anything to try to ease the Persons minds right now. YOU ALL GOT THIS!! AND ALL OF US BACKING YOU!!!! Love you all!!! xoxoxo <3 <3 <3 <3
P.S. I love the header picture of you two SO MUCH. Both of your special little faces are so endearing. Well done. *kisses*

Okay, make a list of your requirements. No, not just a “house.” Do you want to live in a city, town, village, out in the country. Do you want trees or no trees. Do you want snow or no snow. Do you want to live in a place that requires AC or furnace in the winter. Two stories, minimum number of rooms. Lot or acres. Own, rent, lease, land contract? Can you make repairs yourself? How much is you limit. How much gives you breathing room. You’re not being logical if you don’t check out other areas to see the houses and prices. Do you have to be at the water, near the water. Your own lake or pond? Great Lakes? Do your research and stop making excuses. You have a job to do so get on with it. Don’t mean any disrespect, just trying to help.

How bout a tiny house. You are already used to living a pared down lifestyle and you can make it permanent or moveable. You can also design it anyway you want to. Keeps expenses down and you can move it if you need to go home to see about an aging parent. Low maintenance.

I needed the control and the security of knowing. Then I learnt. I have my life, my family. Where we are is where we are happy. It can be on the road, in a tent, a house. We learn, we love. Good luck. You have a roof over your head and your family and you can be anywhere you want to be.
