This is Sheriff Peanut Butter Brickle. When you have been traveling as much as we have the past year, you realize a few things, but I don’t have time to mention any but one.  The weather out there?  It is crazy, folks.  And I heard when I turned on the news today, which in fact was watching TV thru someone else’s RV window because we do not have TV, I heard that it was hot.  Real hot.  And I thought about it.  And I knew it.  This heat wave going on?  I must have caused it.  You. Are. Welcome.

It’s like a heat wave
Burning in my heart
Can’t keep from crying
It’s tearing me apart

How did I cause it?  Seriously.  It was 100 degrees where we left earlier in the week in Washington. Then…we got to this other campground in Washington and we are wearing jackets. And. There is snow on the ground.

You heard me. Snow.  I have always known that I am handsome.  I have always known that my brindle hotness is too much to handle.  So much in fact, that it radiates throughout the country right now!

And I’m filled with desire

It is like how you can’t look at the sun.  You can’t look at me too long.  And so all of my hotness left me. I just couldn’t handle it. How can I look into the mirror when I am this hot?  I decided everyone else needed the heat too. It is summer. Deal with it.

I hear everyone complaining about the heat.  Oh, it’s too hot.  Oh, triple digits.  Oh…

But when it’s cold, you will be complaining about that too.  I needed a break from my hotness, and for the rest of the week, I am going to enjoy the cold.  So have fun with your heatwave.  Drink lots of water, always carry a water bottle.  And try not to hit yourself over the head with it when you can’t take the heat.

Today, we are headed to Mount Rainer National Park!  Now, THAT’S hot.  A volcano?  Can the world take me and a volcano in the same place?

You will notice we are going to spend a little more time in Washington. We will be sightseeing and relaxing this week, then next week, we are headed to Seattle and will be visiting our Washington picked rescue.  Don’t rush me.  I have weather to control.
